Speaking at West Point on Saturday, Vice President Mike Pence told the graduating class that President Trump is the “best friend” the military “will ever have.”
“Your commander in chief will always have your back,” Pence said.
“President Donald Trump is the best friend the men and women of our armed forces will ever have.”
Pence told the graduates that because of Trump, the United States’ NATO allies have increased their contribution to the common defense.
He also said they are “joining an Army that is better equipped and better trained and better supplied” than ever before.
Pence’s advice to 980 graduates was to “be an example of self-discipline to the men and women you lead.”
