Democrat darling Beto O’Rouke is in hot water after a shocking discovery was just made. There’s no way he can escape — this collusion will haunt him throughout his presidential campaign.
During Beto’s 2018 challenge to Sen. Ted Cruz, Reuters journalist Joseph Menn covered up Beto’s affiliation with a secret hacking group called the Cult of the Dead Cow. Menn made a deal with the group to keep Beto’s membership concealed until after the election.
Menn even told Beto that he wouldn’t be revealing evidence until the release of his book about the secret group, which would be conveniently dropping after the election ended. This is nothing more than collusion between a journalist and a candidate.
By Menn’s own admission, he discovered that the Cult of the Dead Cow “had a member who was sitting in Congress,” though he wasn’t sure who it was yet. “And then I figured out which one it was,” he said. Then he confessed the sordid deal.
“They wouldn’t confirm that it was this person unless I promised that I wouldn’t write about it until after the November election. That’s because the member of Congress had decided to run for Senate. Beto O’Rourke is who it was,” he said.
He continued: “I met Beto O’Rourke. I said ‘I’m writing a book about Cult of the Dead Cow, I think it’s really interesting. I know you were in this group. This book is going to publish after November and your Senate race is over. And he said, ‘OK.'”
