In a surprise move, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was nominated to be the head of the Democrat delegation to the Democrat National Convention.
But she was defeated. Badly.
Bringing in less than 15% of the votes, AOC lost to Gov. Andrew Cuomo. It was someone what of a scandal that she was even nominated as it was supposed to be a formality that Cuomo would be the designated leader.
“It surprised me. I was blindsided by it. It was bad faith,” said Democratic Party chairman Jay Jacobs.
Not only did AOC attempt to go rogue, her performance was abysmal.
“It was a bad performance. AOC got 13 percent of the vote,” said Jacobs.
There was one vote AOC could count on — Her own. Jacobs said that AOC vote for herself.
