Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg just announced big news about her health: she has defeated pancreatic cancer.
“I’m cancer-free. That’s good,” said Ginsburg, during an interview with CNN analyst Joan Biskupic.
Ginsburg, who is 86, was found to have pancreatic cancer during a routine blood test last year. For that she underwent 3 weeks of radiation therapy.
“Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg today completed a three-week course of stereotactic ablative radiation therapy at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City,” the Supreme Court announced at the time.
The statement also said that Ginsburg, “will continue to have periodic blood tests and scans. No further treatment is needed at this time.”
