Federal agents arrest Michael Avenatti

Michael Avenatti has been arrested by federal agents in Los Angeles, it has been confirmed.

Avenatti, the anti-Trump attorney who once represented Stormy Daniels, had previously been indicted. Now he’s been taking into custody for violating unspecified provisions of his release.

“I understand that Mr. Avenatti has been arrested by the federal authorities for violating the terms of his release,” said attorney Steven Bledsoe, who was present in court when Avenatti was taken into custody.

Avenatti is set to go on trial in New York for trying to extort $25 million from Nike. But he will now be spending the week leading up to this trial in jail.
