The death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has spawned an epic political battle with deep partisan disagreement exploding across the nation. President Donald Trump has made it clear that whatever side others are on, he is on the side of quick action and a Supreme Court nomination by November.
“I think the choice will be next week,” President Trump told reporters Saturday morning.
“I could see most likely it would be a woman,” said Trump. “Yeah… I would say that a woman would be in first place, the choice of a woman would certainly be appropriate.”
Trump emphasized that he believes the time to act is the present and that the election of 2016 dictates he take action until he is not president.
“We’re here now, right now, we’re here, and we have an obligation to the voters,” said Trump.
