Donald Trump Ends Obama’s Low Income Housing Rule

In an effort to keep the suburbs alive and reduce crime, President Donald Trump repealed a low-income housing rule set in place by his predecessor, Barack Obama.

Obama’s rule or “the AFFH rule, was designed to eliminate racial disparities in housing by telling jurisdictions that receive housing funds they must assess patterns of housing discrimination and come up with a plan to diminish them,” reports Fox News.

Trump announced the change and told the American people to “enjoy!”

“I am happy to inform all of the people living their Suburban Lifestyle Dream that you will no longer be bothered or financially hurt by having low income housing built in your neighborhood,” said Trump in a Wednesday tweet. “Your housing prices will go up based on the market, and crime will go down. I have rescinded the Obama-Biden AFFH Rule. Enjoy!”
