In a stunning display that proves the Democrats have absolutely nothing against Donald Trump in there upcoming impeachment trial, Democrat Senator Chris Murphy attempted to list evidence of Trump’s incitement of a riot.
His hard proof consists of a single tweet in which Trump didn’t even imply anyone should do anything other than desire the truth. Trump didn’t ask for violence or even use the word “fight” or a similar word.
The tweet from Trump, which has since been deleted, said “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!”
You may ask yourself how that is proof of incitement. And you wouldn’t be the only one. It simply isn’t there. Even metaphorically.
Maxine Waters asked her followers to “push back” and “draw a crowd” to fight Republicans, but that wasn’t deemed incitement.
Murphy is undeterred by the pathetic lack of common sense in his argument. Trump “incited people to go fight like hell,” said Murphy.
Uh. No, he didn’t. But this is the evidence that has the Democrats up in arms.
