In a stunning attack on a sitting president, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg attacked President Donald Trump on Monday.
At an event in New York City, Ginsburg was asked about Trump’s calls for Democrats to end their impeachment efforts. She said “the president is not a lawyer.”
This is polite liberal speak for, “he and his supporters are too dumb to know that he deserves to be impeached.”
Ginsburg also said that she wanted “good people on both sides of the aisle to say let’s stop this dysfunction.” She further said she wanted people to, “work together for the good of the country.”
If you really want function over dysfunction and for people to work together, impeaching a President who committed no crime at all seems like a bad way to go about it.
Regardless, Ginsburg was totally out-of-line, and a sitting Supreme Court justice should not be weighing in on the executive branch’s business when it is not a matter before the court.
