As a well-liked and respected television personality, it is with great sadness that America has learned of the passing of Alex Trebek.
The host of Jeopardy! has been loved for decades by fans of the trivia show.
“His belief in the importance of the show and his willingness to push himself to perform at the highest level was the most inspiring demonstration of courage I have ever seen,” said Mike Richards, executive producer of the show. “His constant desire to learn, his kindness and his professionalism will be with all of us forever.”

According to NBC News, “Trebek has won six daytime Emmy Awards and was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 2011.”
