Trump Signs Order Adding a New Federal Holiday

Twas the day before Christmas and all through the land, federal employees were happy ’cause another holiday was planned.

Well, maybe I’ll leave the poems to another writer, but here’s the headline you need to know — President Donald Trump just signed an order making Christmas Eve a federal holiday for federal workers.

According to Washington Examiner Trump “issued an executive order that requires ‘all executive departments and agencies of the Federal Government’ to be closed on Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, giving federal employees a full day off.”

Previous administrations have given half-days when Christmas Eve fell on a Friday so a full day off is a joyous occasion sure to bring extra Christmas cheer.
