Trump: Senator Inhofe Won’t Allow Names Of Military Bases To Be Changed

Although most have considered it a foregone conclusion that military bases named after confederate figures would be changed for more politically palatable names, President Donald Trump has reversed said the prominent Senator Inhofe “will not” allow the names to be changed.

“I spoke to highly respected (Chairman) Senator Jim Inhofe, who has informed me that he WILL NOT be changing the names of our great Military Bases and Forts, places from which we won two World Wars (and more!),” said Trump in a tweet. “Like me, Jim is not a believer in ‘Cancel Culture.'”

Although Senator Jim Inhofe is the chairman of the Senate’s Armed Forces Committee, the controversial decision will not be left entirely up to him. “Both chambers of Congress must now hash out a unified version of the bill and pass it again, which most likely will not occur until the fall,” according to Fox News.
