In light of the recent sexual misconduct allegations made against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump has chosen to issue an official response.
On Twitter, President Trump declared that Kavanaugh needs to start suing his accusers. Trump even called allegations against Kavanaugh “lies” made up for political reasons:
“Brett Kavanaugh should start suing people for libel, or the Justice Department should come to his rescue. The lies being told about him are unbelievable. False Accusations without recrimination. When does it stop? They are trying to influence his opinions. Can’t let that happen!”
Trump’s response comes just as Democrats are preparing to launch impeachment proceedings against Brett Kavanaugh to have him removed from the Supreme Court YET AGAIN.
Soon after Trump’s statement, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell also released a statement of support for Kavanaugh – as the situation appears to be escalating even further due to the outrage by Democrats.
