Trump pledges American military to help combat Mexican drug cartels
A family of American citizens was gunned down in what is assumed to be a cartel attack while traveling through Mexico this week, and Donald Trump has had enough with the out-of-control violence in Mexico that’s affected so many American families.
He issued a final warning to the cartels, declaring “this is the time for Mexico, with the help of the United States, to wage WAR on the drug cartels and wipe them off the face of the earth.”
At least nine Americans were killed during the incident, six of whom were children. All of the victims held dual citizenship with Mexico and the US and resided in a Mormon offshoot community in Sonora. They were traveling to the US for a wedding when they were ambushed by cartel gunmen.
CBS reports that “one relative said he located one of the burned-out, bullet-ridden SUVs containing the remains of his nephew’s wife and her four children, twin seven-month-old babies and two other children aged 8 and 10.”
Donald Trump issued a statement with his condolences to the devastated family and vowed that “If Mexico needs or requests help in cleaning out these monsters, the United States stands ready, willing & able to get involved and do the job quickly and effectively.”
“The great new President of Mexico has made this a big issue, but the cartels have become so large and powerful that you sometimes need an army to defeat an army!”
