In a case that has garnered national attention due to coverage by CBS News, “Maribel Rosado-Morales, was in the home with her children around 8 a.m. when her ex-boyfriend, 27-year-old Donald J. Williams, allegedly showed up and killed her.”
While her ten-year old daughter was doing school virtually, the ex-boyfriend initiated an argument which led to him shooting and killing Rosado-Morales.
“The teacher said she heard noise and knew something was going on,” said the news report. “She said she muted the classroom so other students could not hear it and then she saw the ten-year-old daughter put her hands over her ears. Thereafter the screen went blank.”
The investigation revealed the computer went blank because it had been struck by a bullet.
Williams was later apprehended after he fled the scene on a bike.
