As if social media companies didn’t already have enough power in this country, Mark Zuckerberg is lobbying to get even more control.
On Wednesday, at his request, the Facebook founder met privately with United States Senators to get them to support his company’s blatant violation of the basic privacy rights of Facebook’s users.
And according to a report by the Daily Mail, Zuckerberg REFUSED to elaborate on his talks with lawmakers:
“I’m sorry. I’m not taking questions.”
These developments have many people wondering if perhaps Zuckerberg is worried about Facebook being prevented from influencing elections, which would be a major loss to Democrats. This might be one of the topics of the meeting.
