When it comes to “non-violent calls,” the city council of Los Angeles feels it would be better served to have a “crisis response” team rather than a police department.
According to Breitbart News, “The Los Angeles City Council passed a motion Tuesday to replace Los Angeles Police Department officers with unarmed ‘crisis response’ personnel to be assigned to ‘non-violent calls for service’ such as ‘neighbor disputes.’”
Sure. There’s no way that could go wrong.
Earlier statements from the mayor of Los Angeles revealed plans to cut over %150 million from the budget of the police department, a number over 10% of the total law enforcement funds.
