Senator Josh Hawley was booted from a Simon & Schuster publisher agreement after the company cancelled it due to claims against Hawley related to events leading up to January 6 in the capitol. However, he has now found a new publisher: Regenery Publishing, a company that has published Ted Cruz and Newt Gingrich.
Ironically, the name of Hawley’s book is ‘The Tyranny of Big Tech.’
“It’s discouraging to see [Simon & Schuster] cower before the ‘woke mob,’ as Sen. Hawley correctly calls it,” said Regnery president and publisher Thomas Spence. “Regnery is proud to stand in the breach with him. And the warning in his book about censorship obviously couldn’t be more urgent.”
In response to Simon & Schuster punting Hawley out, the Senator responded “This could not be more Orwellian. Simon & Shuster is canceling my contract because I was representing my constituents, leading a debate on the Senate floor on voter integrity, which they have now decided to redefine as sedition.”
