It’s no secret that President Donald Trump is not pleased with the FBI.
What is absolutely new is that Trump would like to replace the current director of the FBI, Christopher Wray.
Several sources close to the President confirmed that he would like to remove Wray but is waiting to do so until after the November 2020 election. The sources also said Trump is, for the moment, choosing to defer to Attorney General Bill Barr for staffing decisions within the FBI.
It is possible Trump’s dissatisfaction with Wray stems from Wray’s unwillingness to criticize his predecessor, James Comey.
While Trump has been vocal, even recently calling Comey and others, “dirty filthy cops,” Wray has stayed silent.
According to one outlet, sources claim Trump was never happy with Wray because he doesn’t feel like he’s “his guy.”
