Andrew Cuomo isn’t the only Democrat Governor in hot water over nursing home deaths amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“Republican state legislators in Michigan have Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in their sights as they call for investigations into the governor’s handling of nursing homes and other long-term care facilities during the coronavirus pandemic,” reports Fox News.
Two letters setting out the allegations were written to the Attorneys General of Michigan by seven state legislators.
“Gov. Whitmer’s regional hub policy placed patients with and without COVID-19 in the same facilities and may have exacerbated the death toll in those facilities,” said one of the letters. “Questions remain regarding the accuracy of data, compliance with CDC guidelines and compliance with our state’s Freedom of Information Act. There is a critical need for a full investigation into these matters.”
