Gov. Whitmer’s Michigan May Have Paid Billions In ‘Fraudulent’ Jobless Claims

Gretchen Whitmer, the Democrat governor of Michigan and a notorious hater of President Donald Trump, just got some bad news about fraud in her administration.

“An independent audit of the unemployment benefits system found the administration of Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer paid up to $1.5 billion in fraudulent’ claims,” according to a report by Breitbart News.

Breitbart noted that “the report found the agency paid $22.9 billion in claims from March 15, 2020, to October 23, 2020, as the unemployment rate skyrocketed from 3.6 percent to 24 percent amid Whitmer’s coronavirus lockdown orders.”

According to Breitbart, states were warned in May of “a well-organized Nigerian fraud ring exploiting the Pandemic to commit fraud against various state UI programs.”

So it looks like the Governor who has been most vocal with criticisms of the current President’s leadership during a crisis just got bamboozled by a group of hackers in an Ibidan internet cafe.

Looks like the joke is on you, Gretchen.
