Gov. Hogan Blames Trump For ‘Riotous Mob’

Republican Maryland governor Larry Hogan is putting his cards on the table and blaming Donald Trump for the violence in the Capitol building.

Although her cited no evidence, Hogan said held Trump responsible.

“There is no question in my mind that he was responsible for inciting this riotous mob,” said Hogan. “That this was an insurrection. You know, they stormed the Capitol and threatened to kill the vice president and put the lives of people in danger. and he had a huge part, a huge role to play in that.”

Hogan did not mention Trump’s repeated requests for the protesters to obey the law and heed the instructions of the police.

“Within minutes of this attack, I called a security team together, sent in several hundred specially-trained Maryland state police, a rapid response team, and I called up 500 members of the National Guard. We are having security briefings,” said Hogan.

The rioters did a terrible thing and the lawless violence is a shameful embarrassment to our nation. But the tenuous argument that places the blame on Trump is disigenuous political gamesmanship.
