Biden and Trump neck-and-neck in newly released presidential poll

The Daily Caller reported on Sunday that Joe Biden’s previous lead in a hypothetical head-to-head general election matchup has collapsed as Trump’s ratings surge in the most recent polls.

“Among registered voters, Biden leads Trump 49% to 47% in the most recent ABC News/Washington Post poll, well within the statistical margin of error of 3.5 points,” the outlet reported.

Liberal outlets are trumpeting Biden’s slight lead as proof that even Trump’s record-breaking approval ratings for his coronavirus response cannot top the presumptive Democrat nominee’s chances.

However, it’s important to note that an ABC News/Washington Post poll conducted in February showed Biden taking a significant lead, with 52% to Trump’s 45%.

Additionally, the Washington Post conceded that “Among registered voters who support Trump, 55 percent say they are very enthusiastic about backing him while 32 percent say they are somewhat enthusiastic. Among Biden’s supporters, a far smaller 28 percent say they are very enthusiastic while 46 percent are somewhat enthusiastic.”

Donald Trump’s quick and decisive action in regard to the coronavirus crisis has drawn record-high approval ratings. Joe Biden has faded into the background, hunkering down in his basement, broadcasting tone-deaf briefings that have been largely ignored by the public.

The stark contrast between the leadership styles of the two has clearly not gone unnoticed by American voters.
