As tensions rise across the nation in the aftermath of the killing of George Floyd during an arrest in Minneapolis, the protesters and activists involved have become increasingly violent.
As a result, President Donald Trump made it clear the United States military stands ready to intervene if needed to keep the peace in our country.
“They’ve got to be tough. They’ve got to be smart,” Trump said Saturday, referring to the Democrats running the city of Minneapolis, according to NBC News. “We have our military ready and willing and able if they ever want to call the military, we can have troops on the ground very quickly if they ever want our military.”
According to Breitbart, after local Minneapolis politicians allowed a police station to be overrun and destroyed, Trump doubled down: “I’ve never seen anything so horribly stupid in my life. I’ve never seen anything so bad.”
