Supreme Court Issues Statement On Health of Justices

All eyes have been on the health of Supreme Court justices as President Donald Trump approaches the 2020 election. From speculation about Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s medical history to the new coronavirus pandemic, America has been intently watching the highest court in the land to see what unfolds.

Now, they have the answer they’ve been waiting for.

According to a spokesperson for the Court, “All of the justices are healthy.”

“Like all of us, the nine justices are following public health guidance,” spokesperson Kathy Arberg added, according to Reuters.

She noted that the justices are “forgoing their traditional handshake” before meetings.

The justices have reason to be concerned amid the COVID-19 pandemic: six of the nine are over the age of 65, putting them at special risk.

As of Saturday afternoon, more than 26,700 people in the United States had tested positive for the virus, 176 had recovered, and 340 had died, according to a Johns Hopkins University tracker.
