The Biden administration and the CDC continue to incite confusion and frustration as new federal regulations are being released to tackle the pandemic.
Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson has had enough of the confusion, and he’s calling out inconsistencies as the federal government continues to interfere with state level handling of the pandemic.
Hutchinson said Biden needs to give the states ‘flexibility’ in vaccine distribution.
In a recent video conference call, Hutchinson firmly asked Biden to “make sure federal solutions don’t stand in the way of state solutions.”
“There is no federal solution. This gets solved state level,” Biden answered with a smirk.
Immediately after the conversation with Hutchinson, Biden tweeted about the “federal plan to tackle Omicron by adding vaccination and booster capacity, hospital equipment, staff, and more.”
My Administration has the back of every governor fighting COVID-19 in their state. Last week, I rolled out a federal plan to tackle Omicron by adding vaccination and booster capacity, hospital equipment, staff, and more.
We’re going to get through this by working together.

“We’ve got to get through this together, we can’t do it by the federal government alone,” Hutchinson said. “The president is absolutely right, he’s relied upon the states to get the job done. I’m just saying give us a greater deal of flexibility in terms of how to manage, and don’t use the federal authority to take that away from us.”
