President Donald Trump has made it official: he is past the stage of being contagious with the coronavirus.
During a recent interview, Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo asked Trump if it was true that he no longer has COVID-19.
“Yes, and not only that, it seems like I’m immune, so I can go way out of a basement, which I would have done anyway,” Trump replied, according to Fox News.
Fox reported that the White House has “not yet confirmed that Trump has tested negative for the virus.”
“There’s evidence that reinfection is unlikely for at least three months even for people who had a mild case of COVID-19. But it is unclear how much longer that lasts,” the Fox report added.
Trump, for his part, is ramping up his campaign for the last push before the election, and his health will be a huge issue for voters.
