David Perdue will likely run in 2022 against newly seated Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA), according to FEC filings.
“Perdue’s paperwork indicates he is now formally considering running as a Republican primary candidate in 2022, this time to unseat Warnock who is up for reelection as he finishes out the term of retired Sen. Johnny Isakson,” reports Breitbart News.
Perdue was beaten last month by Sen. Jon Ossoff by a very slim margin in a hotly contested run-off election in Georgia.
A spokesman for Perdue said the former senator will confirm whether he will run again by March 1.
