Right-leaning Americans cheered when John Roberts was nominated to the Supreme Court. But as of late, the chief justice has been largely ineffective in holding to conservative ideals while donning his robe in the highest court in the land.
Vice President Mike Pence isn’t happy about it — and now, he claims he isn’t alone.
“Chief Justice Roberts has been a disappointment to conservatives,” Pence said in a recent interview with CBN News, according to Breitbart. “Whether it be the Obamacare decision or whether it be a spate of recent decisions all the way through Calvary Chapel, it’s a reminder of just how important this election is for the future of the Supreme Court.”
And Pence is dead right.
The Trump presidency will be measured in many ways, but his most lasting legacy may be who is sitting on the Supreme Court when he leaves office.
