Gabbard Scolds Pelosi Over Impeachment Tactics

It’s not going well for you when your own team throws you under the bus. But that’s exactly what happened this week to the Democrat speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi.

Tulsi Gabbard, a representative from Hawaii who was the lone Democrat to vote “present” on the impeachment of President Trump, put Pelosi on blast for her procedural shenanigans. Specifically, Gabbard criticized Pelosi for delaying sending the impeachment articles to the Senate.

“I think that you can’t kind of just shift and change and make up the rules as you go along,” Gabbard said Thursday, according to USA Today. “If you’re going to pursue this process, you’ve got to let it play out the whole way through.”

President Trump has attributed Pelosi’s delay to fear, claiming she is “afraid” to send the articles to the Senate.

But Gabbard’s comments about Pelosi are not the first time she has gone against the Democrats. When she voted “present” instead of “yes” on Trump’s impeachment, Gabbard called it an “active protest.”

Regardless of whether you approve of her policies, you have to applaud Gabbard’s courage to call out her own party and expose the truth about Pelosi’s tactics.
