The White House canceled a speech scheduled for President Joe Biden 15 minutes before it was supposed to begin.
Maybe he was sleepy again? Or perhaps he had another bathroom emergency? Or could it be that Biden’s advisers know he just can’t hang with a room full of CEOs?
“The President will no longer deliver remarks following his meeting with CEOs,” the White House said to reporters.
“The White House said the president would speak about supply chain disruptions on Wednesday as an official told reporters that Biden ‘wanted to ensure ample time spent with the business leaders who traveled to the White House today,'” reported Breitbart News.
“Biden was then expected to speak with retail and grocery company CEOs to discuss supply disruptions ahead of the Christmas shopping season,” according to Breitbart News.
Earlier in the day, Biden had yet another tactless and unpresidential moment when he made an ignorant, grandpa-like comment to the CEO of Wal-Mart.
“I spent more time walking through the aisles of Wal-Mart than I want to admit,” Biden said to the Wal-Mart CEO Doug McMillon. “Because there’s one right across the street from where I live in Delaware.”
Biden gave opening remarks before turning the meeting over to White House Economic Advisor, Brian Deese.
“Isn’t this a pretty place?” Biden said, looking up at the ceiling as he wandered away from the podium.
Oh, Mr. President, you continue to amaze us.
