The left-wing mainstream media and liberal elites like to use language like “unity” and “healing” when it comes to life after President Donald Trump, but the truth is actually very different.
It’s clearer now more than ever before that CNN is not interested in a therapeutic effect of a post-Trump era — whatever that means — but would rather take this time to double down on sensational language of hate and divisiveness.
CNN’s Christiane Amanpour came right out on live TV and compared Trump and his administration to “Nazis” and the tragedy of the Holocaust. She said four years of Trump has been an assault on “fact, knowledge, history and truth.”
“After four years of a modern-day assault on those same values by Donald Trump, the Biden/Harris team pledges a return to norms, including the truth,” Amanpour said. “And every day, Joe Biden makes presidential announcements about good governance and the health and security of the American people, while the great, brooding figure of his defeated opponent rages, conducting purges of perceived enemies and preventing a transition. No democracy can survive unless the majority of people at least accept the same set of facts.”
It seems very ironic to me that CNN appears to suddenly care about facts.
But what is even more clear is that rather than push for healing or unity, CNN is setting the stage for the most hateful era of speech in its history.
