President Joe Biden on Thursday mandated that all workers in private companies with over 100 employees be vaccinated against COVID-19 or submit to weekly testing — an order that GOP governors have vowed to fight.
“This is not about freedom or personal choice,” Biden said Friday during a speech from the White House, according to Breitbart. “It’s about protecting yourself and those around you.”
Biden also took a scolding and according to many, a threatening tone toward people who have not gotten the COVID-19 vaccine.
“Many of us are frustrated with the 80 million Americans who are not vaccinated,” Biden said. “We’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin.”
He vowed to make life difficult for the unvaccinated because they, according to the president, are ruining things for the vaccinated, despite having previously said he would not mandate that people get vaccines.
