If you can’t beat them, try to get them kicked out. That seems to be the most common call in the radical left’s playbook.
And now, they’ve just called that play against Attorney General Bill Barr.
According to NBC News, “Lev Parnas, the indicted associate of President Donald Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani,” has requested Barr “recuse himself from the investigation of Parnas and appoint a special prosecutor.”
Parnas’ defense attorney, Joseph Bondy, filed the request in the form of a faxed three-page letter to Barr’s office. “Given the totality of the circumstances, we believe it is appropriate for you to recuse yourself from the ongoing investigation and pending prosecution of Mr. Parnas,” Bondy wrote.
Parnas has come under fire for playing a role in the alleged attempt by Rudy Guiliani to persuade Ukrainian officials to investigate Joe Biden. But Parnas is claiming Barr was an active participant in the purported scheme.
“Mr. Barr had to have known everything,” Parnas claims. “Attorney General Barr was basically on the team.”
However, Parnas offered no evidence: not a call, not a transcript, not a single thing to substantiate his allegation.
Time will tell the truth, but for now, Parnas’ strategy bears the stench of desperation.
