Whoopi Goldberg ranted about abortion on The View on Tuesday, telling former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, “I don’t want you in my coochie.” Goldberg was responding to a statement by Haley that abortion is not “real feminism,” the Washington Times reported.
Haley also said that it was “anti-woman” to say that women must follow certain values such as being pro-abortion, and that it rejected “the ideas of equality and tolerance that the women’s movement is supposed to be about.”
Goldberg said that people have the right not to ever have an abortion if they oppose it and brought up the rare situation of a nine-year-old girl who is raped as an example of who needs to have choices about abortion.
Most states have an exception that provides for abortions in cases of rape or incest. Only 1.4 percent of elective abortions are because of rape or incest at any age, however.
