Donald Trump Jr. personally raised about $3 million in donations for his father’s re-election campaign in three hours as President Donald Trump initially launched his bid on June 18, the Daily Mail reported.
Trump raised $24.8 million in the first 24 hours of his re-election bid, with $8-10 million of that coming during a three-hour phone-a-thon. Trump Jr. was said to be responsible for $3 million of those donations.
All five of Trump’s children were present for the rally, which drew a standing room only crowd of 20,000. Trump Jr. has said he will be working to re-elect his dad, and would help other Republican candidates that supported Trump.
Trump Jr.’s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle will also head up a $35,000 per couple fundraiser for the president. Trump Jr. will headline another fundraiser on the same night.
“I am profoundly thankful to my family. I have a great family,” Trump said at the kickoff rally. He included his daughter in law Lara and son-in-law Jared Kushner as he listed their names.
