A high-ranking Democrat in the U.S. Senate was just charged and liberals are stunned. This will haunt them all the way to the presidential election in 2020.
Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island — a career politician who has affixed himself in Washington, DC, since 2007 — has been hit with a major legal complaint for his politically-motivated rant against the U.S. Supreme Court.
Judicial Watch is alleging that Whitehouse, along with several other Democratic senators, filed a brief with the Supreme Court that is “unbecoming of the legal profession” and “an attack on the federal judiciary.”
Specifically, the brief written by Whitehouse and others threatened the Supreme Court with restructuring if liberal demands were not met. “The Supreme Court is not well. And the people know it,” said the senators.
“Perhaps the Court can heal itself before the public demands it be restructured in order to reduce the influence of politics,” continued the brief, which ironically called for less politics while making nasty political threats.
Whitehouse also stands accused by Judicial Watch of improperly practicing law, given that the brief named him as the “Counsel of Record,” yet his attorney status in Rhode Island is reportedly inactive. This fight appears to have only just begun.
