Canada has put NBA players on alert that if they’re not vaccinated, they’re not going to be able to enter the country. It doesn’t matter if a game against the Toronto Raptors is on your schedule or not, you’re not getting in.
According to The Athletic, Canadian Health officials are targeting January 15 as the start of this new policy.
Also included in the decision is the requirement that Raptors players be 100% fully vaccinated or face fines and suspensions.
Sources: Beginning Jan. 15, any NBA player who is not fully vaccinated will be unable to enter Canada to play games in Toronto. Canadian government will require all individuals entering Canada to be fully vaccinated.

The NBA claims that about 95% of the league is now fully vaccinated.
The NBA is not the only international league for American teams, the MLB has one Canadian team as well while the NHL contains seven.
So far, the NHL has not announced whether or not the new rule will pertain to National Hockey League athletes as well.
