Fox News host Tucker Carlson said that while the Russia collusion probe failed to destroy its target — President Trump — it “did a lot to destroy this country.”
Carlson blamed the probe for impeding Trump’s efforts to reform the D.C. swamp and follow through with his campaign promises.
“The Result? An election that should have realigned our political process and changed this country had almost no effect,” Carlson said.
“Two years later, virtually nothing has changed,” he added, citing the ongoing immigration crisis that has shown no sign of slowing down.
Carlson also pointed to other current national problems including the opioid epidemic, rising suicide rate and gender identity debate.
“Most ominous of all and most often ignored,” Carlson said, “Americans are dying younger and having fewer children.”
