Fox News host Tucker Carlson raged against the peddlers of the Russian collusion conspiracy theory, announcing they should face “consequences” if their claim is disproven by special counsel Robert Mueller’s report.
“There need to be consequences for this,” Carlson said. “The many people who’ve persistently claimed on the basis of no evidence that he did collude with the Russians must be punished.”
Carlson’s weapon of choice would not be the indictments and prison sentences the left has become so fond of, but rather an effort to make sure the perpetrators are “thoroughly shamed and forced to apologize.”
Carlson launched into a tirade against what he sees as a pattern of government officials pushing false narratives and facing zero repercussions—from Iraq’s alleged weapons stockpiles to man-made climate change.
“Lying and recklessness should never be ignored,” he said.
Ironically, the undoing of the Russian collusion narrative may come at Democrats’ own hands, as they continue to call for the release of the entire Mueller report to the public.
