Alexei Woltornist, a Justice Department spokesman, said at the time that U.S. law allowing this policy “has been on the books for more than two decades. And the Department of Justice will robustly defend our ability to use it.”
Upon hearing about the 9th Circuit’s favorable ruling, Trump tweeted, “Finally, good news at the Border!” Good news, indeed. America is ready for a secure border and an immigration policy that puts citizens first.
