President Trump and conservatives nationwide are poised to win a major victory. Democrats are stunned by this development, which is a huge blow to their far-left agenda. It doesn’t get much better than this news.
There are currently six states that only have one abortion clinic left, and Arkansas could be about to become the seventh. People on both sides of the debate are waiting in suspense for a ruling from U.S. District Judge Kristine Baker.
Baker is poised to rule on a slate of pro-life laws recently passed by the Arkansas legislature, with a particular focus on Senate Bill 448. The bill prevents physicians from performing abortions if they lack certification to practice as an OB/GYN.
The language states that “a person shall not perform or induce an abortion unless that person is a physician licensed to practice medicine in the state of Arkansas and is board certified or board-eligible in obstetrics and gynecology.”
If the law is allowed to go into effect, the only standalone surgical abortion clinic left, Family Planning Services, will close its doors because the provider at the clinic isn’t certified or eligible for such a distinction.
This means that Planned Parenthood in Little Rock would be the lone abortion clinic left in the state, and this clinic only provides medical abortions — a method that induces abortion via a pill regimen, but only up until 10 weeks into a pregnancy.
