Representative Jim Jordan, a Republican from Ohio, has formally replied to the January 6 select committee’s request to meet with him as part of its investigation, saying the request was “outside the bounds of any legitimate inquiry.”
Jordan gave his reply in a letter to committee chair Rep. Bennie Thompson after reviewing the committee’s request for a few weeks. Jordan had originally received the request on December 22.
“I have no relevant information that would assist the Select Committee in advancing any legitimate legislative purpose.” Jordan said. “I cannot speak to Speaker Pelosi’s failure to ensure the appropriate security posture at the Capitol complex in advance of well-publicized protests on January 6, 2021.”
In his letter, Jordan agreed with other conservatives that Pelosi should take a huge portion of the responsibility for the riots.
She knew the amount of people that were going to be at the capitol, she knew how upset they’d be, but she did nothing except point fingers once the mess was over.
That may be an acceptable way of doing things to liberals, but here in America, it simply doesn’t cut the mustard.
Jordan told her as much.
