President Trump isn’t known for beating around the bush — he says what he means and means what he says. The DC swamp hates him for it, and now he’s stunned them once again. Their heads are exploding.
During a recent interview with Breitbart News, Trump commented on his loyal supporters who pushed him to a win in 2016. “They’re smarter and they’re tougher and they work their asses off,” he said, rightly bragging on his base.
Trump continued: “And that’s what came out; they came out of the valleys and the rivers, and they came all over the place. Honestly, you remember. Nobody knew they existed. They’re the real people. They’re the real great people.”
The establishment knows that Trump is telling the truth. Not only do they envy the kind of grassroots support he receives from everyday Americans across the country, but they also despise him for being able to actually do it.
It is the very commitment of Trump’s supporters that will re-elect him in 2020, regardless of who the Democrats nominate to run against him. There isn’t an announced candidate yet who can match Trump on the campaign trail, and there won’t be.
“I think we’ve done a great job. I think it’s a lot easier this time because I can say ‘look what I’ve done.’ We’ve done the tax cuts, the regulations, all the things we’ve done,” Trump said later in the interview.
