It was less than 4 years ago that a triumphant ISIS swept into Mosul and other cities across Iraq, killing, torturing and pillaging mercilessly. Back then, ISIS’s cruel leaders believed that the founding of the caliphate was only the beginning of a world revolution. An incompetent Obama administration seemed to have no answers beyond a policy of simply leaving ISIS to grow unchecked.
What a difference leadership makes. With Trump and Mad Dog Mattis in charge, ISIS’s fall has been shockingly swift. And they’re not letting up. In the last two weeks, the US military has launched no less than 25 precision strikes against the remaining fragments of ISIS groups.
Mattis and his generals aren’t going to let ISIS regroup. When Trump hired Mattis, he got a guy that understands wars and how to win them.
One of my favorite Mattis quotes seems particularly appropriate in this situation. He said: “Find the enemy that wants to end this experiment (in American democracy) and kill every one of them until they’re so sick of the killing that they leave us and our freedoms intact.” Amen. (Read More…)
If there’s one issue that we can all agree on, it’s that human trafficking is evil and needs to be ended. The Trump administration has been particularly strong on this issue, and that’s baited some liberals on Twitter into saying some truly asinine things.
Fresh off the success of her rebooted show, Roseanne Barr is the hottest ticket in town. She’s using the opportunity to inject some sense into the national dialogue, especially when it comes to giving Trump credit where credit is due.
When Roseanne praised Trump’s efforts against human trafficking, a variety of liberal trolls absolutely lost it — which only made her seem more reasonable in comparison. Hollywood needs more people like her. (Read More…)
When it became obvious that the Russian collusion angle wasn’t going to bring Trump down, the media switched gears to wall-to-wall coverage of the Stormy Daniels story. In the process, they’ve been waging an all-out war on basic decency with a wave of pieces speculating about First Lady Melania Trump’s every move.
Who is letting this stuff get published? Story after story consisting of nothing but mean-spirited speculation — it’s a disgrace. (Read More…)
Anyone who cares about free speech in America should be furious about what is happening to Laura Ingraham right now. The latest news — that Ingraham is taking a week’s vacation as advertisers jump ship — indicates to me that Fox isn’t sure if they’re going to stand behind her or drop her show.
Remember, Ingraham is losing advertisers and possibly her career because she tweeted that Parkland activist David Hogg was “whining” about being rejected from college. That was a poor strategic move on her part — she should have just ignored him. But are we prepared to say that anyone who criticizes David Hogg should lose their job?
Hogg isn’t just a shooting survivor. The Parkland shooting gave him the opportunity to become a national political figure, and he jumped at it. He’s been openly partisan, profanely attacking Republican politicians and voters alike.
And not just about guns — he’s made it clear that he’s going to use his national platform to promote a variety of leftist causes. And when Ingraham apologized, he refused the apology and tweeted out a list of advertisers to target, making it clear he was out for her livelihood.
Hogg is a public figure, by choice. He isn’t immune to criticism. No one in a democracy is. The question is — Does David Hogg want to live in a democracy or a leftist dictatorship? (Read More…)
