President Trump appointed Federal Reserve Governor Randal Quarles in 2017, the reappointed him one year later to a term that would have expired in 2032.
Quarles isn’t going to make it that long.
Randal Quarles is going to resign his position around the end of the year, creating an opening for Biden to put at least one more woke warrior into the federal government.
According to Quarles:
“After more than four years as a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, and given the completion last month of my term as Vice
Chairman for Supervision of the Board, I intend to resign my position as a Governor of the Federal Reserve during or around the last week of December of this year. It has been a great privilege to work with my colleagues on the Board, throughout the Federal Reserve System, and among the global central banking and regulatory community.”
The left has been highly critical of Quarles, saying that he has not forced banks into adopting leftwing stances on climate change and “sex and racial ‘equity.'”
