At a Thursday rally, Donald Trump Jr. blasted one of his father’s most vocal critics: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.).
The response from the crowd? A sustained 15 second chant of “AOC sucks.”
While Trump responded that the chant wasn’t “very nice,” he went on to admit that “neither is what that policy would do to this country,” presumably referring to Ocasio-Cortez’s infamously impractical Green New Deal.
Trump described the freshman congresswoman’s limited political knowledge as “scary.”
“Think about the fact that every mainstream leading Democrat contender is taking the advice of a freshman congresswoman who three weeks ago didn’t know the three branches of government,” Trump said.
That notorious gaffe, in which Ocasio-Cortez referred to the “three chambers of Congress” and then corrected it, wrongly, to the “three chambers of government,” has been widely publicized as a humorous example of her disturbing level of incompetency.
