If the 2024 presidential election were held today, Donald Trump would be the winner. And it wouldn’t even be close.
A recent Harvard poll created hypothetical matchups featuring Donald Trump against a number of Democrats for the office of president in 2024. He won them all.
Trump vs. Biden? Trump wins.
Trump vs. Harris? Trump wins.
Trump vs. Buttigieg? Trump wins.
Do you sense a theme here?
Trump’s biggest margin of victory was in his hypothetical matchup against Buttigieg, where Harvard concluded Trump is leading by 11 points.
In a head-to-head matchup against current vice president Kamala Harris, Harvard projects Trump to win by nine points. Even against Biden, who already defeated Trump, it’s not looking good for Democrats. Trump holds a three point advantage there.
Even without Trump in the picture, America really doesn’t want to see another term from Biden. Sixty percent of America believes he is too old to be president, and 53% say he is not mentally fit for the job.
