Representative Warren Davidson, a Republican from Ohio, has a very interesting theory about who really set off the chain of events that led to Biden’s catastrophic failure in Afghanistan.
The person Davidson claims started this chain reaction? None other than Wyoming’s Republican Liz Cheney.
Davidson asserts that Cheney’s effort to stall former President Donald Trump’s Afghanistan withdrawal plan is what led to this massive blunder being made by our current bumbling Biden.
Davidson has been in favor of ending the war in Afghanistan since 2011, although he admits that Biden did not withdraw “correctly” and that the current plan is nothing short of a massive failure.
“Very predictably, Joe Biden and others have blamed all this on Donald Trump. You know, Donald Trump tried to leave Afghanistan throughout his presidency. And if it were up to Donald Trump, we would have had troops out of Afghanistan by Christmas. He was blocked from getting troops out of there by Liz Cheney and others. And so that led to an agreement to get troops out of there by May 1. That was Donald Trump’s agreement. It was part of troops out of there by May 1.”
He went on to reiterate that now, more than ever after Biden’s botched withdrawal, America needs to send a strong message to the world.
“I think a lot of people see that Joe Biden is a weak leader, whether this shows that he’s found the resolve in the administration, whether it’s him or whoever has found the resolve, we have to send a clear-cut message, a clear message to the Taliban, but also really to the watching world, that America will establish security, America will protect Americans and America will protect our allies. And that stage right now is in Afghanistan was led by the Taliban. But the observers are global.”
