A major enemy of President Trump’s is heading to prison — they were caught red-handed and justice has been served. Anti-Trump lawbreakers will always be found out.
Jackson Cosko, the former staffer of Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-NH), was convicted of ‘doxing’ five GOP senators during the confirmation hearings for Justice Brett Kavanaugh. He is facing four years in prison for the scheme.
Furthermore, an additional Hassan aide — Samantha Deforest-Davis — has been charged with two misdemeanors for aiding Cosko in his criminal activity. She could end up serving over a year behind bars for her role.
“The government believes that a significant sentence would help to make clear that difference of political opinion do not entitle people to engage in politically motivated, criminal attacks,” argued federal prosecutors against Cosko.
Cosko’s actions amounted to “threatening elected officials with whom he disagrees” and a significant sentence “would thereby encourage respect for the law, and deter future criminal conduct.”
This closes out a stemwinder case full of conspiracy and coverups to retaliate politically against Sens. Lindsey Graham, Orrin Hatch, Mike Lee, Mitch McConnell, and Rand Paul. Cosko hacked Senate computers and released their personal information.
